The soundtrack to my journey
Discover the songs that have shaped my identity, reflected my journey from Haiti to the U.S., and inspired my path as a pre-med student at FAU. Each track tells a part of my story, connecting my roots, aspirations, and personal growth.

Love Yourz – J. Cole
"Love Yourz" represents one of the most important lessons I have learned throughout my life: gratitude. After moving from Haiti to the United States, I often found myself comparing my life to others and focusing on what I did not have instead of appreciating what I already had. J. Cole's message that "No such thing as a life that's better than yours" changed the way I look at success and happiness. The song reminds me that everyone faces struggles, even when their lives appear perfect on the outside. Whenever I listen to it, I think about how far I have come and the opportunities that have been given to me. It encourages me to focus on personal growth rather than competition and reminds me that true success comes from appreciating my own journey. This song has shaped my mindset by teaching me to be grateful, patient, and confident in my path.

4 Kampé – Joé Dwèt Filé
This song deeply connects me to my Haitian culture and background. It reminds me of family, community, and where I come from, reinforcing the importance of my roots in shaping who I am today.

Pink + White – Frank Ocean
This song makes me think about how quickly life changes and how important it is to appreciate moments while they last. It's a reminder to cherish relationships and memories as I navigate life's transitions.
